Theatr is a community-powered secondhand ticket marketplace helping people discover, buy, and sell live performances.

We started as a tiny Instagram account (@stooping_theater) in New York’s theater scene and grew into a trusted platform featured by The New York Times, Forbes, NPR, and Vulture. In just two years, we’ve brought 100K theater and concert lovers together and proven that community-powered marketplace can reshape how people experience culture.

Now as we’re entering our next chapter, we’re looking for a senior product designer who has strong visuals and is obsessed with crafting meaningful human experiences through the lenses of live performance.

About the Role

As our Senior Product Designer, you’ll play a central role in defining how people experience Theatr across both mobile and web.

This isn’t a narrow execution role; you’ll influence product direction, craft the design language, and work closely with the founder and engineering team in a fast, collaborative loop.

Your work will touch the full lifecycle: clarifying problems, generating ideas, building prototypes, and helping ship polished, user-centered features.

You Will

• Own design end-to-end: from insights and concepts to prototypes and shipped features.
• Translate ambiguous ideas into clear problem statements and testable design approaches.
• Produce intuitive flows, interactions, and high-fidelity UI/UX in Figma.
• Maintain and evolve Theatr’s design system to ensure consistency and quality.
• Work closely with engineering to ensure smooth execution and measurable impact.
• Use research, data, and competitive insights to identify opportunities and refine designs.
• Run quick experiments, evaluate results, and iterate to improve conversion and engagement.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of product design experience, ideally in a fast-moving environment.
